Rachael Dyer, Tutor In Leicester

My name is Rachael Dyer. I am a Leicester based private tutor and have been teaching for over 20 years. I teach GCSE English Language and Literature, Maths, History and Science. I know how to get the best out of your child and realise their true potential.

I have a lot of experience teaching children with special needs and those struggling within the school environment. My experience of supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, has provided me with a wealth of strategies and resources which I incorporate into my bespoke tuition sessions.

Tutoring is not just about knowledge of a subject. It's also about how to make it engaging and relevant to a child. It's about making study enjoyable and not a chore. It's about looking at the subject from the child's point of view and encouraging them to want to achieve.

I know that I am doing my job right if the child looks forward to my tutor sessions as well as making measurable progress in their chosen subject. The two go hand in hand.

When you hire me you know you are getting a true education professional. One that will make a significant difference in your child's educational journey.

What Clients Are Saying...

Arjun

I would like to send a massive thank you to Rachael for teaching me how to answer key questions and what to understand and interpret from them. I used to struggle with English a lot, but thanks to Rachael’s help I’ve never felt more confident to answer any exam questions they throw at me. She teaches you in a way that you will always remembers and does not stop until you have fully understood it.

Dee

This is my second lesson with Rachael. She is very professional and organised. In the hour she’s here they get a lot done. My son is also very happy being tutored by Rachael.

Elagiya

Rachael is an amazing tutor who cares about her students' progression. She spends her time finding extra resources and emails them, which I found really helpful. Her technique of teaching is outstanding as it's easy to understand, she also takes her time explaining in detail things which I do not understand. Her way of teaching has made me improve and has led me to do well on my GCSEs.

Ludmilla

Rachael already helped our eldest son to pass his English GCSE exam; we were delighted with her commitment by then. With the second lockdown, we started to worry about our youngest one. Rachael managed to keep engaged a 7-year-old online and managed to make him look forward to her sessions, reaching fantastic results. Thanks for your fantastic job, Rachael!

Madison

Great tutor committed to my daughter and able to manage her complex needs using different techniques and humour. My daughter can be difficult to engage/encourage and has low self-esteem, with Rachael’s support she is learning and her confidence is growing and showing through already.

Ragna

Our fifteen year old has struggled with school since year seven. He went from a high flying student at primary to a student whose grades were dropping each year. Once lockdown finished his mental health regarding attending school began to suffer and we made the difficult decision to remove him. Rachael has been teaching him since Easter. His whole demeanor, attitude to learning, taking responsibility for his work has changed beyond recognition. His grades already have seen a huge improvement, he works without prompting, discusses lessons with us, and looks forward to and enjoys his zoom calls. We can’t thank Rachael enough. Her teaching has literally been life changing for us all.

Ysolina

Thank you so much for all your help and support with my son's preparation for the GCSE English Language and Literature. Your patience (with both of us!), flexibility, teaching style and subject knowledge were second to none. Despite all the challenges (and there were a few!) so much progress was made and my son again feels confident in his abilities once again. Thank you so much!
