My name is Rachael Dyer. I am a Leicester-based online private tutor and have been teaching for over 20 years. I teach GCSE English Language and Literature, Maths, History and Science, as well as a range of other subjects for children and young people between Key Stages 2, 3, 4 as well as adults.

I know how to get the best out of your child and realise their true potential.

I have a lot of experience teaching children with special needs and those struggling within the school environment. My experience of supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties has provided me with a wealth of strategies and resources which I incorporate into my bespoke tuition sessions.

Tutoring is not just about knowledge of a subject. It's also about how to make it engaging and relevant to a child or young person. It's about making studying enjoyable and not a chore. It's about looking at the subject from the child or young person's point of view and encouraging them to want to achieve.

I know that I am doing my job right if the child looks forward to my tutor sessions as well as making measurable progress in their chosen subjects. The two go hand in hand.

Initial Contact

Complete the 'Request A Tutor' form or contact me either by email, through the 'Feedback' form or by text/ telephone. This gives you the opportunity to ask any preliminary questions you may have.

Arrange Initial Meeting

All the students needs, requirements, worries and concerns can be discussed, as well as their current levels and aspirational levels/ grades. The student can inform me of their exam boards and course details as applicable

Engage Your Tutor

If both you and your child are happy, you can then engage me, the Tutor, by agreeing an available day, time and frequency of sessions that suits you.
